J.C. Adams gets screen credit for "concept" as well as direction, but as you watch Sex with Strangers, you may wonder what that concept was and where it went. Adams stages cruising interactions too ineptly to present a point of view; the models could be strangers or fellow employees. The setting is some unspecified place of business, maybe a low-end porn operation, where men mill around and putter about, locking eyes in the course of indecipherable futzing. Kevin Brown hovers on the periphery of the first two segments looking happily plotzed, a silly white bandanna on his head. He finally has sex in the third episode, a foursome where the bandanna becomes a blindfold, and in the fourth, an underlit threesome in which the bandanna is mercifully gone. Jacob Slader and Caleb Carter have the best sexual chemistry, though their scene is marred by senseless intrusions on the part of Brown and big, bald Dillon Press.
