In a non-sexual role, Chang Ling portrays a wry, portly porn auteur who hires three testosterone-packed straight boys (Hugo Toledo, Renato de Giorgio, and Jorge Rios) to intercept intruders while he shoots gay sex loops al fresco on a green, resorty island off Brazil. Chang, a self-described "one man band" who works without a crew, has gone out of his way to hire certifiably hetero security personnel; his previous shoot was disrupted by gay security guards' fraternizations with his all-male cast. What ensues when Chang and company arrive on location is mildly funny and, in the course of five sex scenes, more than mildly erotic. Excessive use of close-ups mars coherence, and a few transitions are botched, but much of Max Julien's direction is adroit.

The security guards (at least one of whom, we learn, hangs out at the baths) devote more time gawking through binoculars at hot, uncircumcised men having sex than scanning the landscape for trespassers. "None of those guys look like faggots!" Toledo exclaims. The guards watch as Chang trains his camera on a three-way ending with Julio Vidal blasting semen into Ivan de Morais's face, then a one-on-one vignette for Sidney Sampaio and hulking Roberto Aguilar. When Toledo, off-duty, is found sunbathing by two of Chang's models, he's ready to romp.

Later, Toledo and Rios, aroused as the porn shoot continues, start jerking off à deux and thumping each other's pecs in manly abandon. "Just when I get a hard on," sighs Rios, "there's no woman around." They're caught wanking by a pair of ruffians (Alfonso Ribeiro and Edmundo Castro) who force them into full-fledged homosex. But when de Giorgio shows up, the tables are turned, and handsome, wiry Ribeiro is made to fuck Castro, a big, dark sensual presence who keeps doing salacious things with his tongue. In short order, the security guards ask Chang, whose shoot has been plagued with absent models and present mosquitoes, if he'd like to hire "three former straights" as performers.

A sad footnote: Stiff Security contains the next-to-last video performance by Ribeiro, whose résumé included such Kristen Bjorn classics as Paradise Plantation, Mystery Men, and Amazon Adventure. The superb Brazilian model died of meningitis in 2002.
