How to order
In stills, most of the 17 models who appear in
Airborne look like flossy, muscular Kristen Bjorn discoveries. In action, these inexpressive Eastern Europeans, buffed to the point of
lamination, look more like obedient replicants. Leslie Manzel, Jack Laurel, Tony Magera, and others are-- or by now ought to be-- familiar from other Csaba Borbély epics, but it's hard to remember
who's who. In this 90-minute military pratfall, where everyone wears gray-splotched camouflage fatigues, the cast could have all popped out of identical molds.
They're supposed to be paratroopers in the Hungarian army. If the subtitles are to be trusted, their lives are tough. Their superiors keep barking orders like "Forward the
building!;" "Show me your dressing chair!;" "Close your knees!;" "Make everybody sucking!;" "Fuck him like an animal!;" and "Snap my dick!" When two of them louse up a training exercise,
they're marched off to scrub the shower room by a petty officer who sternly vows, "I'll show you where the God is living!" They respond to his abuse by tearing off his uniform. He resists at
first, calling them "dirty conscriptees" and "small rats," then begs to be fucked more forcefully.
In the second episode, two soldiers use sex to revive a third they find in a drunken stupor. Next, a hapless private is sexually punished for improperly cleaning a helicopter. Finally,
after a short solo jerkoff interlude, a grunt-laden seven-man orgy takes place in the barracks. ( "It's time to make the conscriptees fucked once more," says one sergeant to another.) In long
shot, as you watch the participants bob up and down in daffy rhythmic repetition, you may wonder if you're looking at a digitally generated joke.
