Frizzy-haired, hobbit-sized Julien LeCoq has disappeared. Although it isn't clear why someone's three-day absence might arouse concern among the Montreal demimonde of hustlers and danseurs nus, many of his friends are worried. But not all. When someone interrupts his bedroom tryst with Jacques LaMarre to ask if anyone knows where Julien is, Ezequelle Bourget dismissively suggests, "He's probably cruising the Beaudry Metro." Ignoring this perceptive guess, four of Julien's peers sally forth with a poster offering une grosse recompense-- a big reward-- for information as to his whereabouts. After taping copies of the poster to a few concrete walls, and wondering if, in fact, Julien is off on a "sex binge," they have sex. Then, while they're in the midst of a post-orgasmic snuggle, Julien walks in and reveals that he's spent the past few days shacked up with Alain DuPont, a rediscovered ancien trick.

I> Big Reward is the work of Montreal-based David Collins, who cranks out gay adult videos at a suicidal pace with often grim results. But this bit of fluff is one of those rare Collins projects that seems grounded in some degree of professional pride. Each model appears to be pursuing a sex binge of his own, especially in the second segment, a long, hot session whose four participants start out in pairs, merge into a daisy chain, then pair off again for some vigorous fucking. LeCoq has two sex scenes with Dupont. The first, a flashback borrowed from Collins's 1999 release Postcards from Montreal 2, is a so-so pairing of two inexperienced models. But it's a fascinating contrast with the second, which tells us what happened when LeCoq connected with DuPont again after three years, during which both young men gained character, muscle definition, clearer complexions, and sexual skill.
