Where are you from originally?

Near Cleveland, Ohio.

What did you like or dislike about growing up there?

I grew up on the southern shore of Lake Erie, which was great in the summertime. I think people in the rest of the country don't realize just how big the Great Lakes are. You can't see anything over the horizon and we got waves big enough to surf on. It's almost the same as the ocean, except it's sweet, fresh water and you don't have to worry about sharks or jellyfish and things like that. We had a beautiful private beach out in front, and a boat dock behind. I didn't like the winters very much. As a kid, the snow can be fun, and ice skating on the frozen lagoons was something we looked forward to. But as I got older, it wasn't as much fun to be cold and wet and bundled up all the time.

How would you compare the guys there with guys you've met elsewhere?

I think wholesome Midwestern boys are some of the nicest, most well-rounded, and hottest guys anywhere. Often, when I meet a good-looking guy in a big city like New York or LA, it turns out he's originally from some small Ohio town, just like me.

Where do you currently live?

South Miami Beach, Florida.

How would you compare the guys in South Beach with guys you've met elsewhere?

The guys in South Beach are certainly not hung up on their sexuality, as they are in many other areas. This is one town where you never wonder if a guy is gay, you just assume he is. You'll be right 95 percent of the time-- and that other 5 percent are often easily persuaded to switch-hit. The guys in South Beach take their bodies very seriously-- and that's about all they take seriously.

Describe when you first realized you were attracted to guys.

My earliest recollection is when I was maybe 8 or 10 years old. I sneaked a copy of the Sears catalog under the covers of my bed at night, and with a flashlight, I couldn't stop looking at the men modeling bathrobes. I mean, they were naked under there! I had never seen anything like that. My dad was "old" and wore full-length pajama tops and bottoms under his robe. I didn't have any older brothers. The guys in the catalog were real men, virile, with the most masculine looking legs and feet I had ever seen. The robes only covered just above their knees, and I kept imagining what it must be like just a few inches further up. Their chests were exposed in a strong V-shape by the terrycloth, which was open almost to their navels, pointing down to their "private areas." It was so exciting at the time. Even after all I've seen since then, I still remember the feelings I had.

Which of the five senses is most important to you while having sex-- sight, sound, touch, smell, or taste?

For me, I think touch and sight are running a dead heat for first. I have times when I enjoy being in a completely dark room, or blindfolded, and get it on with others in the room. Then it's all about touch and very, very erotic, but I still like to know ahead of time what they look like so I can visualize in my mind. The sight of a beautiful masculine man in a very nonchalant, alluring, masculine pose always intrigues me. And seeing a raging hard-on will do it for me every time. But all of the senses play a part for me in enjoying great sex. I love the sound of moaning, slick flesh against flesh, and balls slapping butts. I love the musky smell of a real man's skin when he completely envelops me, or a younger man's freshness with the lingering scent of Tide in his underwear. I love the taste of... well, let's just say all of the senses are important!
