How to order
In the opening scene, rookie fireman Drew Larson, a dark-haired preppy lad who would look more at home figure skating than fighting fires, returns to the firehouse fetchingly smudged from dousing a blaze, and has sex
with Captain Rory Mason. Then Larson, the putative star of this low-rent production, is seen no more. The title role belongs to Latino daddy Anthony DeMarco, who organizes a cookout where sex is the main course. Most
cast members are over 30 and bear-y. Firemen's helmets are put to fetishistic use in three sequences; two or three cast members smoke big cigars. The techno-punk score, which goes nowhere fast, is a queasy match for the
slackly paced action, which goes somewhere slowly.
