How to order
On the plus side, Ass Quest slyly undermines fans' expectations by turning such tried-and-true bottoms as Carlos Morales and Remy Delaine into tops or quasi-tops. On the minus side, this first of a series of tributes to the male butt (and other adjoining body parts) is
plagued with messy continuity that ministrations from a team of editors haven't quite remedied.
Director Michael Brandon dresses all his models in posterior-enhancing black jockstraps, and places them in a darkroom environment that gives videographer Ben Leon opportunities for stark, fiery sexual imagery. The magnetic charge of Leon's best work, however, makes
jump cuts more jarring, and highlights shots that don't match. Distractingly, jockstraps keep vanishing and reappearing. One memorable moment occurs when Troy Punk, in mid-solo, peels his jock down over his ripe, round butt; otherwise the jocks just come and go with hardly a
nod to coherence.
But the visually heightened sexual performances are strong enough to keep most viewers watching. Among four sex loops, perhaps the best-sustained is one involving wiry Rick Gonzales and clean-cut, muscular Gabriel Sinclair. As they come on to one another,
seductively masturbating, Sinclair makes expert use of a butt plug that primes him for Gonzales's howitzer-shell cock.
