The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride

The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride

How to order

Whenever Dirk Yates, the executive producer who oversees All Worlds Video's operations, directs one of his own releases, his fans expect wall-to-wall military exhibitionism. At one point during Pride, we're treated to a sexual tussle involving two Marines and a sailor, but the scene is just a sidebar to a narrative about narcissistic hunk Duke Miller, who prowls around New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Compulsively running his hands across his own lush musculature, he invades courtyards, watches couples having sex, then briefly, condescendingly joins them or verbally butts in. "Look at me when you fuck him!" he barks. When the objects of his attention run into him later, he responds to their greetings with arrogant, dismissive mumbles. Eventually he meets his match in the form of Chad Donovan, a tough butterscotch blond who hauls him off to a men's room, leans him over a urinal, and fucks the bejesus out of him.

This first volume in All Worlds's projected Seven Deadly Sins cycle could have used a less rudimentary script it's not so much story-driven as story-nudged but it effectively launches a promising series. (Confusingly, Pride, which ends with a tantalizing setup for a continuation, is to conclude in a companion piece called Redemption.) Much of the sex here is hot; the chemistry between Jackson Price and lively newcomer Eddie Rollan is sometimes dazzling. The remaining Deadly Sins, some of which are already in release, should be worth seeking out. These include:

  • Lust by Michael Zen
  • Gluttony by Wash West
  • Sloth by Thor Stephans
  • Envy by Dan Cross
  • Greed by Chi Chi La Rue
  • Wrath by Wim Hof (a.k.a. William Higgins)
