Five thieves dressed in black sneak into a gallery in the dead of night and spirit away a few choice works of art. One member of the gang, impressionable young Arpad Banfalvi, becomes mesmerized by a kitschy painting of a torpid young man with red drapery girding his loins. (Arpad may not know much about art, but he knows what he likes.) When Banfalvi requests the painting as his portion of the night's haul, his colleagues agree to let him have it-- on condition that he seal the bargain by sucking their dicks.

Hopelessly infatuated with the model in the painting, which turns out to have been made in Budapest in 1938, Banfalvi hangs it in his bedroom, surrounds it with votive candles, and fuels his sexual fantasies with it. Eventually, he happens upon the living embodiment of the model (Zsolt Kopazs) tending bar in a club. This is every bit as silly as anything ejected from Video 10, but in the hands of Kristen Bjorn, it taps into magic.

Four of the five superbly crafted sex scenes involve multiple partners-- thieves, security guards, models, and an artist. At least two of these sequences may be classics. There are stunning, startling moments: Banfalvi and Arpad Miklos simultaneously fucking Tom Matthews; Buddy Jones licking his own semen off Marcio da Costa's buttocks; Ferran Griego and Miguel Leon alternately ramming their cocks into Bolacs Fekete; Banfalvi sucking the tip of Kopazs's tongue. For Bjorn to have rounded up some of the world's most beautiful men is no great achievement; to have found their humanity and used it for erotic effect shows the skill of a master.

Sometimes Bjorn's sexual configurations seem too posed and sculptural; some of his trademark touches-- those no-hands orgasms, for one-- may be getting a bit tired. Take almost any erotic video made by Kristen Bjorn in the past ten years at random, however, and it's fair to say that it is to the average American male porn flick what Courvoisier is to Schiltz. Elements like lighting, editing, and Francois Girard's music outclass the competition by miles. Visually, Bjorn's closest rival is Titan Media's Bruce Cam. Sexually, his closest American rival is Falcon. Judged as a whole, he's peerless.
