Anything goes, Senator Santorum?
When Senator Santorum said, "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy... to polygamy... to incest... to adultery-- you have the right to anything," does he mean that we, as GLBT community,
can get married?

One reading of Senator Santorum's remarks would suggest that, indeed, he takes a libertarian view of sexual matters. But, alas, an inspection of his record reveals that he views civil liberties and sexual freedom as dangers to be eradicated, not values to be defended.
Keeping our toilets safe
Last month's Orange Level security alert was supposed to mean higher security measures to deter terrorists from attacking Americans. Evidently, members of Boston Protective Services at the Prudential Center [shopping mall and offices], to judge by their allocation of
resources, must fear an Al Qaeda cell is operating in the restrooms at the Pru!
The BPS has been loading Pru toilets with security guards. In these troubled Orange Level times, we can only presume that they are there meeting pressing security needs, not simply harassing would-be cruisers. While it seems odd that malcontents would hatch their
nefarious plots in a shopping center toilet, now is no time to question police priorities. Like the soldiers busy securing the oil fields of Iraq, the Pru's bathroom police deserve all Americans unquestioning allegiance and support. They understand that Attorney General Ashcroft's new
powers to detain, arrest, and imprison "suspicious" sorts will protect no one unless they are used!
I now feel much safer peeing and crapping at the Pru knowing that armed guards are keeping me safe from evil doers.

Your magazine is amazing. It is modern, simple, and enthusiastic. It has a little part of everything that gay community needs. I read it again and again, and it has nothing of boring things.
I have a particular interest in the international announces because I would like to meet gay people from anywhere in the world for friendship or romance.
I am tall, thin, with a well structured body. I feel big love for nature because it gives us life. I'm searching honest people with good feelings.
Sorry for my English. I am studying to learn a bit more each day.

Lighten up on prisoners!
My lover and I love your magazine but cannot find it regularly. Luckily, we found a copy of the May 2003 issue and are hoping to use it to plan our 2004 holiday. We just spent a week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Many pen pal ads specify "no prisoners." In my view, prisoners are not taboo. I don't care if they are in custody for drug offenses or for murder. We have all suffered for being gay, so lighten up, guys! Be a little more open minded. Establish rules if you have to-- no
money or unkeepable promises-- but remember, many of those in prison have limited outlets for their emotional needs; a friendly letter or raunchy story can make their life a little easier. I have been writing to a Texas inmate, and his letters are truly entertaining.

Glad you find The Guide helpful in travel planning. We're available at many Toronto venues, but you can also subscribe for just $45... Canadian! Happy you've kept a laudably open mind regarding prisoners-- but please don't suggest we've all "suffered" for being gay--
many of us see our gayness as salvation from a traditional, uptight perspective on life....
