What the Long Beach, Califor-nia, Viking calls the "vic-tim" of an indecent exposure artist reported him to College Safety and a nearby guard rushed to the library, situs of the crime, "minutes" after it had been perpetrated, about 9:40pm.

A crime this major brought forth the Chief of College Safety, who, with the complaining student and the guard, quickly deployed themselves three-strong and pressed on to search the library.

They solved the crime when they advanced on a stall in the men's room on the upper tier of the library, where they found the alleged criminal. The paper does not say whether he was relieving himself of sexual heat or doing something more sordid, such as taking a shit.

He is depicted as a "25-year-old Caucasian male."

"The victim is pressing charges," the paper says. The alleged criminal was photographed by College Safety and turned over to the city prosecutor. If College Safety did a conscientious job, they photographed his dick as well as his face; some victims who stared only at his dick would be able to describe it to authorities, but would be unable to identify his face.

After it was all over, the Chief of College Safety summarized the crime for the Viking by issuing a statement that "the man made a lewd act in front of a student that was studying."

Exhibitionists give other males an opportunity to exhibit heterosexuality by calling the cops. For such complainants, it may be a rare opportunity, perhaps their only opportunity, to appear heterosexual. But any male who is so anxious to seem heterosexual probably isn't.

This latter type of exhibitionist-- the one who ostentatiously complains about a flasher-- is as egomaniacal as a flasher, and in addition causes more trouble and expense than the flasher by helping to jam the legal system with his trivial self-serving, and time- and money-consuming court case.
