Honolulu Hawaiian artist Douglas Simonson, known for paintings and drawings of the male nude, has just released his 2002 limited edition calendar. There are 12 new drawings of a diverse mix of models from Hawaiian to Filipino to African-American to a blond and blue-eyed New Zealander.

Twenty-two years after his first public exhibit of male nudes, Simonson still travels to the far corners of the globe seeking out new models. Born and raised in western Nebraska, Simonson left the US mainland in 1971 to study at the University of Hawaii and the Honolulu Academy of Art.
