Tail End of Summer
Rating: 2 Stars
Produced by Dan Cross. Directed by Casey and Peter O'Brian. Written by John Paul. Videography by Ed Max. Edited by Adam Rom. Starring Will Clark, K.C. Hart, Jake Taylor, Bryan Williams,
Marco Antonio, Ken Burke, Lance Williams, and Ethan Starr.
How to order
Will Clark's office job is stressing him out. "This schedule is getting to me," he laments. "I-- I need to get away from all this bullshit!" Boyfriend K.C. Hart, who knows of a special place in the
mountains, proposes a three-day weekend camping trip. They drive to the campgrounds, pitch a tent, and fall on one another like crazed weasels.
This opening sex scene has so much intensity that it may be a while before you notice that Clark can't quite maintain an erection, and by then you may not care. Clark, an insatiable oral bottom who in 1997
won the Mr. Northeast Drummer competition, is attractive in an offbeat way: in his newly acquired goatee, he looks like a young, muscular, mischievous version of gay pundit (and
Guide columnist) Michael Bronski. Even when
it seems he could use a dose of Viagra, Clark is more sexually alive than most performers in most American porn videos.
The first half of Tail End of
Summer, which seems to be telling a story about Clark, raises the hope that the whole video will be built around him. Unfortunately, it's not. After a three-way that develops
when Clark encounters a couple having sex in a trailside shower,
Tail End veers off into unrelated routine episodes, first with a Park Ranger and a nude sunbather, then with two campers who have fireside sex in a deserted
lodge. The absence of schlocky music is an asset, and portions of this video are well staged and shot, but on the whole, it's a downhill slide.
