This informative supplement to Kristen Bjorn's recent, two-cassette Wet Dreams contains some strong erotic moments, but doesn't quite stand on its own as porn. Like most behind-the-scenes porn documentaries, Making It With Kristen Bjorn is essentially a feature-length commercial. In this case, at least, the product being promoted is a genuinely good one, and the documentary footage reflects the taste, intelligence, and erotic artistry of one of the best gay video directors in the world.

It also says something about Bjorn's integrity. This is also one of the few videos of its kind that imparts a real sense of the work involved in a porn shoot. We're shown screw-ups, retakes, preparations, rehearsals; Bjorn calling out commands ("Don't look at your cock") in several languages; models precariously posed on a platform in order to be shot from below; Marc Fortier getting his testicles caught in the zipper of his jumpsuit; straight Hungarian hunk Istvan Turani yawning out of boredom while preparing to shoot a fuck scene.
