Zoophilia Equals Rape
I find it very disturbing that you would print an article such as "Laying with Beasts" [an examination of bestiality/zoophilia from March, 1996]. You have a responsibility to your readers to not condone such filth.
Gay and Bi-sexual people have it hard enough! They are still frequently labeled as "perverts". Why on earth would you give anyone ammunition like this? If you can't see
the difference between consensual sex between two people and forcing sex on an animal, well you just don't represent the Gay population. Dogs love humans, they want to
make them happy and they will submit themselves to torture in order to receive human love and approval. This does not give us the right to rape them. Not everyone, including
humans will put up a fight when raped.
It wouldn't surprise me if your next issue contained an article supporting Gay Rape. It could include something like this: "You can't rape a gay man, he likes taking it up
that ass. You're only giving him what he wants and already gets. If he cries and fights, well, that's just adds to his level of excitement!" Hey, this isn't they way I feel about rape, but
it seems to me that your publication isn't into mutual consent, it's more about anything that gets you off!

You need to read more carefully; consent was a key issue discussed in "Laying with Beasts" (and, indeed, is central to all our editorial writing about any type of sex). Branding
as "rape" all sex you disapprove of (no matter what the participants think) is a Stalinesque torturing of language.
Scouts Right to Brand Homosex 'Bad'
The Boy Scouts is a private organization that can select and choose its members based on its membership criteria. It is a shame that you publish this junk and bastardize
the explanation of the Scout Law to serve your own ends ["In the Boy Scout Closet: Meet the Original 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,'" April 1996; available at
www.guidemag.com ("features")].
The Boy Scouts' mission is to instill leadership, citizenship, duty to God and country, duty to others, and duty to self. Homosexuality effects each of these areas:
A) leadership; it is impossible to instill leadership in young boys when their behavior contradicts the norm; homosexual scouts have the potential to engage in sexual activities
with others in the unit, perhaps at younger ages, causing enormous damage; this is one of the reasons girls and boys are not together in scouting except in much older age groups;
if you want another example of gays in a leadership run organization, look at the military and how screwed up it became when all the gays started to come out; B) citizenship;
part of the structure of our nation is by a representative government under majority rule; to skew standards to accommodate less than one percent of the US population is against
this rule of law; citizenship is not based on letting people do what they want, how they want, when they want-- it is based on a rule of laws that the people (the majority) have
selected to uphold; C) duty to God and country; duty to country can be looked at just looking at the military model; under duty to God, there are no formal religions that
accept homosexuality; so, if you are engaged in a practice that is total contrary to your religion, then you can't say that you have a religious background; there are sinners and there
are sinners and that is what must be considered; D) duty to self; homosexuality is self-destructive; you are shunned by many at the young age in scouting because it is socially
deviate behavior, and it should not be presented to young people.
The bottom line is homosexuality is wrong. It is not biologically correct. It is not socially correct. It has no purpose. It is self absorbing. It is deadly. I hope that those
that engage in homosexual activities are barred from scouts, kicked out, and ignored.

Your circular logic reveals nothing but your bigotry, so I'm glad you're spending time surfing our web site. (I trust you've gotten a peek at
Boyd McDonald's inimitable "Sex Histories," too!-- hot, huh?) Don't let life pass you by leaving you old and homophobic, Eric. Quit worrying so
much about living a conforming life and focus instead on enjoying
life.
