"In Buenos Aires," an ungrammatical opening title informs us, "it is a popular belief that each of us who love or have loved have an angel guarding us." Marcos Estelito's angel is the shade of his deceased partner, Martin Valdez, whose tomb Estelito is visiting when we first meet him. The grieving Estelito later winds up at a gym where, avoiding oglers, he tries to crunch away his angst.

Eventually, however, he lets himself be used sexually by Simon Arduiles, a musclebound selfish cad. The encounter leaves him remorseful and disconsolate, but Valdez, a presence Estelito senses rather than sees, intervenes to reassure him and encourage him to accept a date from a more agreeable prospect, Matia Dellagiorna.

I> Heaven Sent is arguably the best of the videos made in his native Argentina by pornstar-turned-director Marco Antonio. Working for the first time under the auspices of Falcon Studios, Antonio takes on a technical assurance that was missing from his All Worlds Video productions (Argentine Tangle, Argentine Memories). What may be missing here, however, is his personal vision. The casting, the crystalline visuals, and the scenario-- a thinly melancholy tale of love and loss accentuated by a jazz score-- seem to imitate Kristen Bjorn's recent work. One key difference is that the erotic temperature is frequently set at lukewarm.

But the best of the sex commands your attention. The greatest asset of this production is Marcos Estelito, an Olympian hunk whose sad eyes peer out from under a cascade of dark hair. He doesn't fully come to life until the last (and best) sex scene, a beautifully romantic three-way with Dellagiorna and Valdez. Spiritually joining in Estelito's encounter with Dellagiorna, Valdez releases him to a new love. This is one of the few threesomes in the annals of porn that is actually about lovemaking.
