How to order
Scriptwriting has never been New Jersey-based producer/director Robert Prion's strong suit. But in
From Every Direction, dialogue and voiceovers are chiefly the work of model Kyle Douglas; the result is an improvement. There's a welcome trace of story that inverts the
familiar, hypocritical tendency to tantalize viewers with glimpses of sexual freedom, then step back and moralize about "commitment." Newcomer Jason Lucas, whose liquid brown eyes and lickable body turn up in
BuckleRoos II (where he's Jason
Kennedy), appears as Douglas's boyfriend. Fidelity issues arise when friends including Prion's indefatigable daddy-in-residence,
Jay Richards, tempt Jason into a three-way. Kyle whines about Jason's adventure to another couple who respond by initiating a three-way with Kyle; in the aftermath, they all agree it would be fun to give group sex another whirl with Jason aboard. The five modestly produced sex
scenes range from better than passable to very good.
