How to order
Mark Slade's gay porn career got off to a shaky start about two years ago, but he's recently acquired chest hair, acting ability, and better muscle definition, so it's now completely plausible that somebody would want to
stalk him. In Twisted, he's being harassed by a phantom telephone caller who simultaneously frightens him and turns him on. For a while, the cat-and-mouse premise effectively teases the viewer with hints of sexual danger.
Alas, the solution to the mystery is tame and cute.
The cast is attractive, but the sex, which mostly takes place in Slade's head, is so dull that it's easy to zone out and start counting dromedaries on the walls of Slade's busily papered bedroom. When the
encounter we're meant to have been waiting for arrives in the fifth and final episode, it's something of a dud: the lust that Rick Hammersmith holds in his heart for Mark Slade appears to have communication problems with his
dick. (Hammersmith does, however, have a redemptive moment at the end, shooting dollops of spooge right into his own open mouth.)
