Clinton Editorial Appreciated
I'm in America on a brief visit from Italy where I live. Recently
I saw a copy of your magazine and would like to congratulate you on
the excellent editorial [Clinton's Unintended Legacy].
It was a delight to read an article about Clinton's
inadvertent legacy that was lucid, beautifully written, and
thoroughly to the point. Congratulations! Is
The Guide available in Europe?

Thanks for the kind words. The Guide is available in
some European cities; if you don't see it, ask!
It is refreshing to read an editorial in a prestigious gay
publication which does not endorse the Clinton-can-do-no-wrong
position of most of the gay/liberal media.
Politics aside, we may now expect to see dignity and respect
restored to the White House, and the cessation of the continuous
stream of lies and moral depravity which emanated therefrom.

Thanks; rest assured, though, that "lies and moral
depravity" will continue to flow from the Bible-thumping
election-hijackers now occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue....
Jerks Off 'Looking at Lips'
Hi, it's me Stephane from Montreal just to say that Simon [our
February 2001 coverboy] from Taboo is
hot. He is so hot that I can't even find the right word. I
jerk off 30 times looking at
his lips.

We like the editorial No More Prisons [January 2001] very much, and agree completely with
it. Thank you.

I appreciated your article on prisoners [No More Prisons January 2001]. They,
too, are real people as you have pointed out. I feel that everyone is
prone to making errors in life and
we should respect them and treat them with respect and dignity. I
would love to subscribe to your magazine.

Missionary Love
I love Mitzel's story about the young Michael who was a missionary
in Italy [Joe Smith October 1999]. Reminded of my adventures in Italy as a young,
horny Mormon missionary in
the early seventies.
I sat outside our apartment one night and made out with a
young Italian man while my companions read their scriptures inside.
And then proceeded to have an affair with the guy that lasted the
rest of
my mission and is still on-going almost 30 years later. (We made love
in front of a roaring fire in a villa outside Rome not too long ago
while I was there working on a film.) The night I gave up my
virginity to Gianni, on a
ferry boat between Italy and Sardegna when I was a missionary and
barely twenty, was one of the most romantic and wonderful experiences
of my life.
Mormons try and weed out the homos now before sending them
out on missions. But at 19, a lot of guys don't yet know what's
really going on with their sexuality. What better place to figure it
out than in
an environment that is exclusively male 24/7 for two years.
If this letter somehow gets to you Mitzel, I'd love to send
you the story of my adventures in Italy as a young queer Mormon
missionary. You might get quite a bang out of it. I sure did! I love
Mitzels'
columns. Keep 'em coming.
