Researchers have found that treating patients infected with HIV before complete seroconversion provides an opportunity to prevent irreversible immune damage.
The study suggests that 10 patients who were treated with hydroxyurea, didanosine, and indinavir during acute HIV infection before total seroconversion saw better
antibody response and T helper response.
