Michael Brandon's San Francisco bar draws a straight clientele, but the men's room comes equipped with open stalls, gaping glory holes, a communal piss trough, and other intriguing amenities. Every night, when the place fills up with guys and their dates, Brandon conspires with Tag Adams, his official sex instigator, and bar boy Taurus, a pocket-sized French sexpig, to stoke up a tearoom orgy with male patrons while their wives and girlfriends sit around wondering why it's taking their escorts forty minutes to pee. "Where were you?," they ask as men come wandering back. "What's that smell?"

The first sex scene, a prologue in which Brandon fucks Taurus on a pool table, is so effective it risks eclipsing everything else, but the rest of the sex is relentlessly hot. It builds from a point when, early in the evening, Adams stations himself in a stall and waits. The first to arrive is Mario Ortiz, who shoves his stiffening uncut dick into Adams's mouth. They're soon joined by Taurus; for over two hours, men come (in more ways than one) and go.

There are four principal men's room sequences, escalating into a sexual conflagration. Hugely-hung Brandon throws himself into what may be his definitive performance. The startlingly uninhibited Adams outdoes his star turn in Rear Factor, where he was gang-fucked and drank piss. Standouts in the eight-man cast include Montaz, whose intricate tattoos converge on the shaft of his penis, and African-American hunk Eric Campbell. Chris Ward and Michael Brandon's co-direction sends their male performers into an erotic fugue state. The six uncredited women playing female bar patrons are also first-rate; vignettes with scripted dialogue surpass the industry standard.

This release has triggered a mixed reception because it includes shots of semen ingestion. Big, sloppy, open-mouthed oral cumshots, once a staple of gay porn, are rare in A-list studio productions, though Kristen Bjorn and others have pushed the oral-safety envelope here and there. Pokin' does stress condom use for anal sex; its handling of fellatio, though controversial, reflects models' personal choices. The ecstatic lack of caution involved in semen-eating can be strongly erotic-- though you may not want to imitate the practice at home, especially if you're prone to gingivitis. Whatever your feelings on sexual safety issues, Pokin' in the Boys Room should not be missed.
