In Yard Boyz, one of Paul Barresi's better recent efforts, Dillon Press and David Griffin are an affluent, over-thirty couple whose acreage gets meticulously groomed by shirtless, buff young men in jeans that fit like second skins created to be shed. Sweeping patios, clipping hedges, washing cars, unburdening the pool of floating debris, this landscape brigade-- Justin Wells, Jason Crew, Corbin Michaels, Rocco Deniro-- displays its assets with alluring nonchalance.

The best sex scene, however, doesn't involve them. At the opening, Press and Griffin are in bed with a couple of guys their own age, Joey Lexington and Scott Mann; their all-oral orgy, in which everyone is fully involved with everyone else throughout, is sexually ravenous, yet full of laid-back, easy camaraderie. There's also a first-rate sequence where Justin Wells, fresh from an encounter with Lexington, sees Mann fucking Michaels on patio furniture, and drops his pants without missing a beat. In the final episode, Griffin, a former Mr. Leather Colorado, gets fucked by yard boy Rocco Deniro, who's vibrantly handsome in a retro-Fifties way; the scene blots out the memory of Griffin's strange encounter with oblivious Billy Brandt in Barresi's recent Daddy Says Billy's Back.
