Pumped-up, taffy-haired Mark Dalton rambles through a desert landscape looking like a harbinger of something moist. As he yanks off his shirt, low sounds of tribal approbation, maybe burps, erupt on the soundtrack. The scene shifts quickly to a swanky courtyard where he squirts himself with a hose while stroking his cock. He isn't up to very much else, though he does ejaculate as Super Soaked draws to a close. This self-involved straight bodybuilder's fans apparently don't mind that he's one of the most limited performers in porno history, or that his ripe, smooth body looks synthetic, or that his face seems to mirror the brain of a cherrystone clam.

Director Chi Chi LaRue solves the problem of Dalton by using him as filler between sex scenes. Super Soaked is redeemed somewhat by the rest of the cast, who put Dalton to shame. When the star is off-screen, pairs and threesomes alternate in four well-made sex loops. The three-ways work best, especially the one where Josh Weston mixes with German hotties Thom Barron and Christoph Scharf. When the action moves from outdoor lounge chairs to a swimming pool, Max Phillips's camera plunges underwater in pursuit of rimming and fucking. Since Dalton, testing the limits of "gay for pay," never interacts with other men at all, his absence is a blessing.

At the moment, Dalton's absence is complete. After breaking parole on drug rap last year by roughing up his girlfriend, he wound up back in a Texas prison, serving a five-year sentence. If he completes the three-month rehab regimen he started in July, he will next be eligible for parole in October 2005.
