How to order
"All viewers should be prepared to be shocked," reads the tagline on the box. The one shocking aspect of this fatuous Brazilian import, however, is its $56 list price. High Voltage turns out to be four lukewarm servings of cross-cultural sex involving city dwellers and gym-toned Indians in feathers, Mardi Gras beads, grass skirts, and fake-fur loincloths.
At the outset, three young middle-class urbanites go bungling down a jungle path, unaware they're being stalked. Eventually, each in turn is grabbed by a lust-crazed savage who treats him to a stupefying round of rustic sucky-fucky. (Safety-conscious viewers will be relieved to see that condoms are de rigueur among the rapists of the Amazon Basin.)
There's also a sidebar where one of the hikers spies on a couple of natives dressed in fuzzy dishrags as they make unimaginative use of one another's genitalia.
The eight-man cast is attractive, at least, particularly box-cover model Pax Lenehan, listed as "Poax" on screen. Some of the models may actually have genetic links to the native peoples of Brazil, even if one of them does go by the name Cohen.
