Black Dick on Duty is technically shaky and has threadbare production values, but it's neither exploitive
nor sleazy. The tone is light; sometimes laughter seems barely suppressed. People keep saying things like, "Want a raise? Raise
this!" None of the models seems overtly gay-for-pay;
some members of the cast are clearly happy in their work. Executive producer Paul Hanson makes a forceful appearance in a sequence where a plumbing operation leads predictably to sex.
Other standouts include Markus, who comes explosively, and scrappy Dennis Lee. Alert young Zaire, who can act, and superbly built Solomon, as a security guard who catches Zaire jerking off
when he ought to be working, make the most effective and attractive duo.
