Occupying two hours and 43 minutes of screen time, Hole Patrol almost justifies its length. A scrappy two-part orgy follows four hot (though conventional) sex scenes. The script is a drawn-out lewd joke with holes of its own; the direction, thanks to the fevered talents of Chi Chi LaRue, ensures that viewers will stay focused on the action.

The story starts with a familiar premise. Driving through the creepy heartland, three young guys (Owen Hawk, Shane Rollins, and newcomer Tommy Ritter) get pulled over by law-enforcement goons who plant a gun in their trunk and jail them on trumped-up charges.

Ritter is put through an interrogation session that involves lending his mouth to officer Jason Ridge's efforts to fuck himself with his nightstick. The ailing Rollins is handed over to physician Nick Capra, whose examination techniques encompass armpit-licking, and whose prescriptions include "Eat that hairy man-hole, you fuck!" Hawk, meanwhile, is taught the politics of incarceration by jailbird Johnny Hazzard, who invites guard Arpad Miklos into his cell to fuck while Hawk looks on from an adjacent lock-up. Presiding over this pervo detention center is lush-lipped warden Eddie Stone, whose hidden agenda hides in plain sight.

Hole Patrol is one of those porno prison-break epics where the escape plan involves wall-to-wall group sex. This finale is mostly superb, though the action gets trapped for a time behind Warden Stone's desk. There are six participants; some viewers may regret the absence of several cast members. Standout performers missing from the sequence include Jason Ridge, whose performance as a tough, goateed rural cop will be a revelation to fans who know him from his role as an airhead underwear model in Jet Set's Wet Palms.
