Nothing-- and Dawn means nothing-- can be worse for a teen boy than being fooled into thinking he enjoys sex. Dawn knows this to be true since the law reserves its harshest punishments for those who subject adolescent males to this horror.
Usually, of course, those preying on defenseless male teens are older men. Often these older men will compound their infamy by actually convincing their teen paramours that they like them! They will listen to them, buy them gifts, and give them opportunities and
experiences otherwise unavailable. The horror goes on and on.
But every now and then, one reads of a woman
who similarly preys on teen boys' immature belief that sex is something to be enjoyed. Shocking.
In Golden, Colorado, courts have convicted a woman who authorities said had sex with high school boys during alcohol-fueled parties. Had she instead merely beaten them, left them bruised and bloodied, she, no doubt, might have escaped with a relatively mild
punishment. But this is modern America, and we have learned that sexual exposure surpasses even attempted murder in the harm done to delicate teen male psyches. Accordingly, Silvia Johnson, the monster in question, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Authorities said Johnson held parties for the boys almost weekly between October 2003 and October 2004. They said Johnson provided drugs and alcohol to eight boys and had sex with five of them.
Stop and consider those facts: the boys-- the victims-- were so vulnerable, so impressionable, that they actually returned, weekend and after weekend, to endure having to catch a buzz and engage in wanton sexual activity! They, obviously, must have been brainwashed
by the crafty Ms. Johnson.
Though newspaper accounts naturally do not share any of the sordid details, Dawn would not be surprised if some of the teens were subjected to all manner of perversions, perhaps including oral sex, or even group activity.
Dawn is certain all involved have learned a valuable lesson about just how our police and prosecutors value teen boys' well-being....
