That male heterosexuals in general and cops in particular are not as tough as they boast is suggested by claims filed against the village of Fox Point, Wisconsin, by five cops who represent themselves as being unable to take it when they are groped. They charge that the
village's handsome, blond police chief "grabbed or attempted to grab their genitals."
This has caused so much suffering among the cops, they claim, that they each seek $1.02 million in compensatory damages and $250,000 in punitive damages.
The police chief's lawyer, understandably, questions the motives of the cops. He also feels that their "conduct" is relevant to a fuller understanding of what happened. Said "conduct" is not described.
Perhaps the five cops are gay and are using this complaint as a way of stating they are straight.
The case has not gotten off to a good start: the village board met to discuss the thing but "were unable to resolve factual disputes," says an Associated Press dispatch in the
Journal Times of Racine, Wisconsin.
Should the village of Fox Point's governing board feel that the alleged gropings did
not do some $6 million worth of damage to the cops, a cheaper means of succor for these victims would be counseling by women and homosexuals, who have to take worse sexual
harassment every day, oft-times from cops themselves.
