Dawn generally has little use for the right-wing rants served up in the comic strip "Mallard Fillmore" (a decidedly unfunny panel, offered by nervous rags as "balance" to the decidedly funny "Doonesbury"). But a recent
strip amused. "Why," queried one of the talking ducks, "was the Justice Department fuming at the US Park Service's handling of the recent Los Alamos 'controlled fires [wherein hundreds lost their houses]?" "Because,"
answers another, "burning people in their own homes is the Attorney General's job...."
