How to order
There's sufficient vitality and heat in Falcon's
Under Fire to help you forget for most of its 80-minute length that gay porn scenarios focused on the Eastern European military are getting pretty tired. The action, stitched into
a basic training program in Hungary, is basic as hell, but director Steve Kiraly
(Hungarian Heat) knows how to give routine set-ups an electric jolt.
The first of four sex scenes, in which military doctor Janos Volt's probing fingers push just the right buttons in inductee Andras Brandl's rectum, sets the tone. Czech and Hungarian porn models, a majority
of whom are fundamentally straight, can have an empty, mechanical way of getting through man-to-man sucking and fucking. Not here. When Volt and Brandl tongue-kiss and lick each other's armpits, the lust seems
real. Whatever their off-screen sexual orientations, the men of
Under Fire present themselves on-screen as both effortlessly masculine and happily gay.
The cast has a look that falls somewhere between Bel Ami adolescent and Falcon muscle stud. Standouts include Jakob Kormos and Antal Posza, who light each other's fires in the process of dousing
an accidental blaze in their tent. There's also a lively three-way on a firing range. ("What's going on here?" cries shooting instructor Peter Krisztia, checking up on two rookies after a short absence. "You were ordered to
practice weapons handling!") Dialogue sequences are literately subtitled. Falcon's expert videographer Max Phillips, listed here as Assistant Director, presumably had a hand in the uncredited, first-rate camerawork.
