Producing a porn video for fans of Latin men can be a bit tricky. After all, Hispanic culture embraces not just Mexico and Central America, the entire South American continent and most of the Caribbean, but also the distinct Latino cultures in the Southwestern United States and throughout our urban centers. And it's precisely guys who find Hispanics sexy who are likely to be picky about the differences between hip-hop and hard Nuyoricans, chocolate-eyed Mexican lovers and a Peruvian showcasing generations of native-American bloodlines. Unfortunately, Bacchus Releasing's Latino Posse solves the problem by assembling a "Hispanic" cast that's the most blandly non-ethnic imaginable. There's precious little to suggest any of the six stars of this video has been further south than a Los Angeles tanning salon.

Latino Posse opens at a party for birthday boy Billy Boulders (whose shows up late-- not a bad idea, since at about 90 minutes running time, Latino Posse seems way too long, even with judicious use of the fast forward key). After some desultory conversation, some desultory sex begins, and nothing much happens till "The End" flashes on the screen. There is the last minute appearance of a cop to bust up the party, but since Latino Posse's patrolman is about as threatening as Mayberry's Barney Phife, he's not exactly meat for any bondage-and-discipline fantasies.

Beyond that disappointing development, the action is terribly limited. Five of the six characters are on-screen and naked before the first few minutes have elapsed. Two of them won't suck or fuck, which limits considerably the possibilities of this tableau vivant. The boys couple and uncouple without a whit of passion, and occasional fey requests to "fuck me harder" function as unintended comic relief rather than fanning the flames of desire.

The video does generate some suspense: since four of the five party boys have an awfully hard time getting hard-ons, you've got to wonder who's going to manage a cum shot. The answer provides the film's small measure of satisfaction: a tightly-muscled, big-dicked skinhead (with pubes shaved to match his bald scalp), by far Latino Posse's sexiest player, finally gives up his leche with a lusty cry. Not quite worth the wait, but after watching him work so hard to get that dick stiff enough to slide up his buddy's butt, it's nice to see the payoff.
