A group called the Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch has awarded its "wackiest warning label of the year" trophy to a household products manufacturer prudent enough to alert buyers of the their toilet brush that aid brush is "not to be used for personal hygiene." As if.
This squib reminded Dawn of a lunch enjoyed some years ago at an Indian restaurant on Cape Cod. After some particularly spicy vindaloo, Dawn was excused to the loo. There was discovered, on the floor next to the toilet, a large bottle of water in which was a
large wooden dowel.
Now, Dawn is aware that different cultures have different toilet habits and costumes. But it was then, and has remained, a mystery as to what use these conspicuously displayed utensils played in hygiene... "personal" or otherwise.
