In a passage on directing orgy sequences in
Making It Big, his recent book, Chi Chi LaRue says "Two is good, three is better, and orgies are the absolute best." That describes this LaRue extravaganza succinctly.
There are three sex scenes. The first may confirm your suspicions about what's happening backstage at restaurants with slow service. Two white-jacketed workers-- it's not clear if they're waiters or cooks--
chat in a restaurant kitchen. One invites the other to some "stupid orgy" he's supposed to attend. Stupid or not, the prospect turns them on so much that they decide to have sex on the spot. ("What the hell. They can wait for
the salad.") The action heats up when a busboy walks in and joins them.
In the second, less interesting segment, Doug Jeffries and friend, hard at work on a float for the San Diego Pride parade, take a sex break.
Show Your Pride then lapses into a commercial for itself as footage
of the actual Pride march concentrates on the All Worlds Video float, where Chi Chi LaRue holds court in killer drag while porn stars boogie around her in blue and white briefs.
The pièce de resistance is a long eight-man orgy with a ninth participant masturbating in a shower stall on a tier above the main action-- which was shot after hours at a San Diego dance club. The scene
starts out feeling posed and stilted; in long shot, it's like a big priapic museum diorama. Then it ignites into a sexual bonfire with Jeffries, Matt Bradshaw, Jake Andrews, Logan Reed, and others working hard to stoke up the
heat. Almost anything goes (including a two-cock fuck). In a group sex scene, LaRue has written, "What you want is a group of pure gay sexpigs, guys who would be into it even if the cameras weren't on." In this case, what
you want appears to be what you get.
