The Gay and Lesbian Interest Group of American Mensa (the group for those with a high IQ) now boasts
300 members, "including Annise Parker, a city councilwoman and elected official in Houston, Texas," according
to recent press blurbs. The group has, according to founder Waugh Smith, "achieved
the ultimate goal of the whole gay and lesbian movement benign indifference."
While understanding Waugh's point, Dawn wishes he'd set his sights a bit higher: surely adoption of
wildly promiscuous sexual behavior in which brainiacs learn to rut like love-starved pigs with indiscriminate
attention to all would be a more laudable goal than mere "benign indifference."
