The Mansurf.com website warns
potential customers that
"lighting variations are to be
expected" in their low-budget
porn productions, and suggests that
fans "who are not into
amateur video" stay away. The
disclaimer shows that the
Florida-based proprietors of Mansurf
have some self-awareness and
integrity; their output offers minimal
production values, tends to
be raggedly edited and shot, and is
marred by poorly duped color.
Compensations include attractive
black and Latino performers and an
element of spontaneity. TMalone's
Miami Misadventures brings
together L.A. porn model TMalone
and Mansurf's model/director
Abednego
(Abednego's Love Bazaar). In
the two stars' opening encounter,
the chemistry is flat, but the four
succeeding episodes contain
effective moments that fitfully
outweigh the dominant visual dreck.
The fifth and final sequence, a
conventional sex loop
featuring TMalone and a model
called Thug Passion, may be the
best; it has fewer distracting
"lighting variations," and
the color doesn't lurch from slate
blue to cherry pink to egg yellow.
