The third installment in Tony Alizzi's all-sex Prowl series may be little more than a 90-minute plug for Chicago's Steamworks bathhouse complex, but it does what commercials are supposed to do-- it makes you want to buy what it's promoting. Much of the dark, sweaty action was shot in a sling-equipped Steamworks play space. Diego Alvarez, a living, breathing Tom of Finland cartoon, sits perched on a rack intently masturbating at the beginning; he's joined by shaven-headed Brad McGuire, fiery Latino Carlos Morales, and the irrepressible Michael Brandon. The sex intensifies until at least seven cast members are involved at one time. Everyone wears leather gear; a number of models show off body jewelry and tattoos.

In the closing passage, charismatic off-screen couple Colton Ford and Blake Harper plunge into sex with hungry reciprocity after they connect through a glory hole. Given director Alizzi's taste for group revelry, some viewers will regret that the Ford-Harper duo, though effective, never expands to include additional partners. Under its transgressive trappings, Prowl 3 has vanilla tendencies, but its habañero moments make an impression. The best of these, surprisingly, are oral-anal: Antonio swinging forward in a sling as Damian Ford's outstretched tongue jabs into his ass; Colton Ford slurping on Harper's bulging anal pucker.
