How to order
This dip into bisexuality presents four versions of a simple premise. Right after a man and a woman begin having sex, a second man enters the mix. Except for the outdoor opening loop, the sex takes place in posh interiors evocative of softcore epics Radley Metzger made in the
'70s. The action is too repetitious and routine to be more than fitfully effective. The anonymous director is particularly fond of staging vignettes where the male bottom eats pussy and gets fucked at the same time. The women, who sometimes seem beside the point, are
interchangeable tawny blondes. The men include a tall, ginger-haired muscle stud, a short guy with thinning hair and a hairy ass, and several dark-haired beauties who could pass for rentboys from Bilbao. (Which maybe they are.) Every now and then the models mutter urgently to one another in
an unsubtitled foreign tongue. It's hard to tell whether
Side Bi Side was slapped together in Spain, Portugal, some temperate section of Latin America, or some Euro-swank venue on Mars.
