Scientists from Britain's Medical Research Council said Friday that an experimental anti-AIDS vaccine known as Rgp 120 appears to be 10 times more effective than other experimental treatments.
Animal testing, they added, demonstrated that the vaccine protected the animals from an AIDS-type virus. The new vaccine employs adjuvants that are combinations of compounds designed to boost the response of the
immune system.
