Sailor Buck Meadows receives a letter warning him that Anton, his young civilian boyfriend, has been spotted getting into a sinister Lincoln owned by Corey Black, "the sleazy pimp who runs the Caribbean Cruiser," a notorious male whorehouse. "Son of a bitch!" says Meadows. "I have to save him!" This involves slipping off in the middle of the night without a pass to try to infiltrate the establishment. David Anthony, who has a yen for Meadows, takes off after him with fellow Shore Patrolman Santiago in tow. Anton, meanwhile, is making the most of the opportunities Black's operation affords for wall-to-wall public sex.

You wait for blond bonbon Anton and older, edgier Meadows to have a sex scene, or at least a confrontation, but there's no evidence that they were ever on the set at the same time. This intriguing pair aren't given a relationship; there's no suggestion of a shared past. (They're both Europeans who speak heavily accented English; maybe they met in Immigration.) The turning point comes when Meadows sees (or is edited to appear to see) Anton in the midst of an energetic foursome, and turns to Anthony for solace.

The sex makes up for some of the oddities of the script. Naval Escort's ten hot bursts of erotic revelry include five duos, two threesomes, two foursomes, and a five-man orgy. Some of the group scenes are intermittently formal and static, and when you have various combinations of the same people munching on each other in the same setting (it's actually Fort Lauderdale's clothing-optional Sun and Splash Resort), the action starts to feel repetitious. But on the whole, Chip Daniels has directed Naval Escort with nimble professionalism, and a canny sense of which buttons his viewers want pushed.
