How to order
Australian model Brian Hansen, whose finely molded face adorns a tight, diminutive body, plays a student at some unnamed California university. His exuberantly piggy roommate, Park Wiley, brings home an array of
tricks, but Hansen restricts his sex life to ogling models at the COLT website. ("I'm just too picky when it comes to men," he sighs.) As
Hard Studies opens, the sounds of sex emanate from Wiley's room, where he's enjoying
a manic reciprocal fuck with Josh Weston. Inspired, Hansen-- who's supposedly doing schoolwork-- has a furtive, laptop-ameliorated wank.
L
ater, at a bar, Hansen sits nursing a drink while Wiley plunges into four-way, Latin-accented backroom sex. Though a mix of bad luck, ineptitude, and caution, Hansen can't seem to connect with anyone. Turning
down buddy Alex Chandler's invitation to share user-friendly Danny Roddick, the sad-sack Aussie reports for an internet date and is disinvited by Brock Hatcher, who has moved on to meatier pursuits with fellow muscle
daddy Hank Dutch. Hansen finally goes to the gym for a lonely workout. There, in the locker room, relief arrives in the form of luscious African-American COLT model Adam Dexter.
The rapport between Hansen and Dexter is electric; their impassioned session turns acrobatic, with Dexter lifting Hansen off his feet as they fuck. This closing scene is the best of five sex episodes, but
Hard Studies detonates erotic charges at regular intervals from the beginning. Josh Weston, who's acquired body hair and musculature along with status as an official Buckshot Man, is such a welcome presence in the opening scene
that it's disappointing to realize his role ends there. Scott Pollard's script feels at times like one long COLT commercial, but the product is entirely worth plugging.
