Why is it that newspapers seem to employ only assholes to write advice columns? Jeff Zaslow, the penhead behind the syndicated column "Family Matters," recently featured some back-and-forth over the
issue of bed wetting by 14-year-olds and whether parents should compel nocturnally enuretic kids to wear diapers to bed.
One sensible teen explained that he preferred wearing diapers given how messy it was to piss the bed. Jeff's asinine response? Pads for the mattress, wet-sheet washing as penance, bladder-clamping drugs
for the teen, and police investigation of the letter writer's parents for child sexual abuse (since they supported the diaper option).
Of course Dawn thinks that bed-wetters inconvenienced by the phenomenon should seek medical and lifestyle-changing advice, but why get your prissily-dry panties in a bunch if someone wants to
wear diapers to bed? And to allege sexual abuse because parents have a hand in promoting the diaper
option seems nothing short of loony. Who does Zaslow think he is, Ann Landers!?
