Thanks to the Boston reader who turned Dawn onto "classic WaiWai" (whatever that is), available on Japan's Mainichi Daily News website (mdn.mainichi.co.jp/waiwai/). The waiwai for Jaunary 6 carried the intriguing title "More moms going down, to ensure grades go up!" Noting that "Some mothers will do anything to make sure their junior high school sons pass the all-determining entrance exams," the story details how Mom "Meiko" tiptoed in on her son "Haruki" during what she thought was a late-night study session in his room. To her chagrine, Meiko discovered Haruki vigorously chopping his stick. Distressed that her son was masturbating instead of studying, Meiko talked with Haruki and was startled at his proposed solution: sex with her as a pre-study palliative.

According to the web story, Dad was okay with the plan as long as there was no intercourse-- Meiko was to only blow her son before he hit the books, his mind cleared of carnal distractions.

Evidently the maternal BJs did the trick as Haruki's grades soared. Maybe our current "education President" would like to appoint his BJ-loving predecessor to a blue ribbon commission to look into this sort of family-based initiative....

Dawn was amused to receive a bit of spam touting "Iron Man, an herbal Viagra alternative" that promised to help a guy's "organism." Now if only they can find a leaf that helps with spelling....
